Overview
The Public Sector Innovation (PSI) researchgroup focuses on the development of the theories of public sector innovation and digitaltransformation, with rather unique focus ontechnology driven innovations, e.g. emergence ofmachine-to-machine coordination in the publicpolicy processes and analysis of the technologicalcapacities of the public sector. Increasingly, thegroup focuses on understanding and anticipatingthe societal consequences of technology-drivenchanges in the public sector (e.g. possibilitiesfor people-centered smart cities). In addition, the group has also produced important contributions to more mainstream PSI topics, i.e. therole of co-production, public procurement of innovation, iLabs and state-owned enterprises asinstruments of innovation in the public sector.
