Ülevaade
Uurimisrühma teadustegevus on suunatud tänapäevaste ja tuleviku elektrisüsteemide juhtimisalgoritmide ja rakenduste väljatöötamisele ja arendamisele. Olulisimad teadussuunad on seotud reaalajajuhtimissüsteemide arendamise ja analüüsiga laiseire mõõtmiste baasil, võttes arvesse alalisvooluühenduste, juhitavate ülekandesüsteemide, tuule- ja päikeseelektrijaamade, elektri kvaliteedi ja koormuse modelleerimise aspekte. Käsitletakse elektrisüsteemi juhtimist ja analüüsi tuleviku elektrisüsteemide arenguid silmas pidades – sünkroniseeriva massi vähenemine ja läbi konvertertehnoloogiate elektrijaamade selle järjest suurem osakaal elektrisüsteemis. See kõik toob kaasa väljakutseid elektrisüsteemi juhtimises, releekaitses ning süsteemi stabiilsuse jälgimises ja hindamises. Oluliseks uurimisvaldkonnaks on ka elektri kvaliteedi mõõtmised ja hinnangud elektriülekandevõrkudes kasutades ära tänapäevaste kompenseerimisseadmete ja laiseiremõõtmiste võimalusi.Uurimisrühm teeb aktiivset koostööd Eesti olulisemate energeetikavaldkonna ettevõtetega, sh Elering, Elektrilevi, Graanul Invest, VKG, Tallinna Elektrijaam, jt. Ettevõtetega koostöös lahendatakse mitmeid olulisi Eesti energeetikaga seotud küsimus, nt Eesti elektrisüsteemi pimekäivitusvõimekuse tagamine, süsteemi optimaalne juhtimine läbi konverterite ühendatud tootmisseadmete korral, elektrikoormused ja nende karakteristikud ning Eesti elektrisüsteemi reaktiivvõimsuse kompenseerimise olemus ja võimalused. Uurimisrühma kasutada on maailma tippteadusaparatuur –reaalajasimulaator RTDS, releekaitse ja automaatika seadmed, sh Siemensi releekaitselabor, Omicron testseadmed/kalibraatorid ja võimendid, jm.
Tähtsamad tulemused
2023. a olulisemate tulemustena võib välja tuua: • Eesti ja Balti elektrisüsteemi reservituru mahtude hindamisraamistiku loomine ja analüüside teostamine. • Loodi uudne lähenemisviis ja juhtalgoritmid tööstustarbijate ja elektrisüsteemi vaheliseks koostööks süsteemiteenuste raamistikus. • Määratleti ja arendati elektrivõrgu mudelite mahu vähendamise algoritmid, arvestades muundurpõhiseid tootmisüksuste lisandumist elektrisüsteemidesse. • Loodi uus laiseirel põhinev süsteemikaitse lahendus, mille eesmärk on tagada elektrisüsteemi koordineeritud kaitse asünkroonkäigu raamistikusloodi uudne lähenemisviis ja juhtalgoritmid tööstustarbijate ja elektrisüsteemi vaheliseks koostööks süsteemiteenuste raamistikus.
