Ülevaade
Uurimisgrupi eesmärgiks on panustada kaasaegsesse akadeemilisse kirjandusse finantsökonoomika valdkonnas. Erilist tähelepanu pööratakse teemadele, mis seonduvad rahanduse digitaliseerumisega (näit. ühisrahastus, ICOd, krüptoraha, digitaalsed rahakotid, robotnõustamine), FinTech’ide ärimudelite ning ökosüsteemidega ning jätkusuutliku rahandusega. Uurimisgrupi teadustegevus on ühtlasi seotud struktuuriökonoomika ning majandusliku arengu, innovatsiooni, tehnoloogilise muutuse ning kasvuga. Traditsioonilisi ning käitumusliku rahanduse teooriaid rakendatakse ettevõtte rahanduse, eraisikurahanduse, finantsturgude ning pangandusega seotud teemade uurimisel eesmärgiga mõista paremini indiviidide, ettevõtete ja finantsvahendajate käitumist ning nendevahelisi seoseid (peamiselt Euroopa kontekstis). Interdistsiplinaarset lähenemist rakendatakse uurimaks rahanduse rohepöörde ning digitaliseerumisega seotud ärilisi, seadusandlikke ning tehnoloogilisi aspekte ning nende majanduslikku mõju. Viimane on oluline määratlemaks tegureid, mis aitaksid parandada riikide majanduste konkurentsivõimet ja käekäiku läbi sobilike regulatiivsete meetmete rakendamise.
