Ülevaade
Uurimistööd keskenduvad tõhusate, ohutute ja keskkonnasõbralike kemikaalide, formulatsioonide ja protsesside kujundamisele. Eesmärgiks on keemilised transformatsioonid, mis vastavad jätkusuutlikkuse kontseptsioonile ja rohelise keemia põhimõtetele. Roheline orgaaniline keemia on rakendatud jätkusuutlikumate orgaanilise sünteesi meetodite väljatöötamiseks, et saada väikesi molekule ja funktsionaalseid materjale biomeditsiiniliste, keskkonnaalaste või tööstuslike rakenduste jaoks. Uuritakse ratsionaalset kavandamist (i) AChE vastumürkide – organofosforühendite poolt inhibeeritud antidote reaktivaatorite ja (ii) võimalike vähivastaste ainete puhul kasutades meditsiinilise keemia meetodeid ja praktikaid. Arendatakse uuenduslikke formulatsioone ravimite manustamiseks, mis põhinevad funktsionaliseeritud süsiniku nanomaterjalidel (nannodiamandid ja nanodotid) ning biokompatibilsetel ja biolagunevatel platvormidel. Keemia taastuvate toorainete põhimõtte täitmine toimub läbi uute, jätkusuutlikumate protokollide leiutamise biomassi väärtustamiseks ja uute ligniinil põhinevate materjalide kujundamise katalüüsi, biomeditsiiniliste rakenduste ja kliimamuutustele vastupidava ehituse jaoks, järgides ringlussevõtu bioökonoomia põhimõtteid. Tehnogeensete õnnetuste riskide juhtimine sisaldab (i) antidotiliste ja dekontaminatsiooni formulatsioonide täiustamist jätkusuutlikumate komplektide jaoks esmaabiandjatele ja vabatahtlikele; (ii) jätkusuutlikumate desinfektsioonivahendite formulatsioonide väljatöötamist ning (iii) keemiliste ja bioloogiliste ohtude ennetamist ja vähendamist tehisintellekti (AI) ja süvaõppe (DL) tehnikate abil, et tuvastada toksilisi tööstuslikke ühendeid, baktereid, seeni ja viiruseid nende ainulaadsete sõrmejälgede järgi keerulises keskkonnas,

In 2024: Research achievements were related to the development of green and sustainable platforms and formulations. A novel greener chloromethylation procedure for lignin under mild reaction conditions was elaborated and developed as a precursor for designing new functional materials, including (i) lignin-supported metal/metal oxide nanoparticles of designed metal composition, which may serve as a versatile and sustainable catalyst for a number of organic reactions (C-C coupling , “click”, hydrogenation) under continuous flow conditions; (ii) a series of quaternary ammonium and phosphonium lignin derivatives (QL), shown to be efficient antibacterial agents for coating and . efficient against clinical isolates of the ESKAPE strains, and (iii) novel long-chain esters of lignin, demonstrating excellent compatibility with thermoplastic polymer (PLA) to design a climate-resilient PLAlignin composites with advanced properties.
