Teaduslabori põhikompetentsid on:• metalloksiid ja -kalkogeniid õhukeste kilede ja nanostruktuursete kihtide väljatöötamine tööstuses rakendatavate keemiliste- ning vaakummeetoditega;• päikesepatareid;• fotokatalüütilised pinnakatted.Rakenduslik arendustöö on suunatud päikeseelementidel põhinevate nutikate elektrit tootvate teekatendite väljatöötamisele, mille tootmisega on alustanud ülikooli spin-off ettevõte E-Pavement.
Tähtsamad tulemused
2023. aasta olulisemate tulemustena saab välja tuua: akedanti uuest SbEX prekursorist pihustussadestatud Sb2S3 absorberkihti päikeseelemendis struktuuriga klaas/TCO/TiO2/Sb2S3/P3HT/Au, kus 75 nm paksune Sb2S3 kiht oli sadestatud TU/SbEX molaarsuhtel 4.5, antud päikesepatarei kasutegur on 4.1%; töötati välja CSS meetodil sadestatud Sb2S3 õhukeste kilede kasvuprotokollid ja näidati, et 300 ˚C juures kasvatatud Sb2S3 kiled on ühtlaselt katnud aluspinna ja kristallid omavad eelisorientatsiooni (hk1) tasapinna suunas, valmistatud päikeseelementide efektiivsus on 3.8%; Sb-kalkogeniidsetel materjalidel põhineva poolläbipaistvate päikeseelementide väljaarenduses floureenipõhiste orgaaniliste aukjuhtmaterjalide rakendamine tõstis päikeseelementide efektiivsust ca 60% võrreldes seadisega, kus aukjuhtkihti ei rakendatud.
