Ülevaade
Uurimisrühma visiooniks on: “Innovation thorough the border crossing”. Uurimistöö teostamiselsaavad kokku erinevate instituutide, ülikoolide ja erasektori spetsialistid, selleks et teaduslikud avastused muuta reaalseteks toodeteks. Viimase 15 aasta jooksul on rühma teadlased arendanud erinevaid analüsaatoreid (TRL 6-7) paljudele erinevatele partneritele (näit. Eesti Politsei ja Piirivalveamet). Uurimisühma tuumiktehnoloogiad on kapillaarelektroforees, fluorestsents, juhtivus, gaaskromatograafia, mikrofluidika ning teised instrumentaal ja analüütilised tehnoloogiad. Tehakse koostööd erinevate töögruppidega üle maailma ning pakutakse oma kompetentsi erinevates partnerlustes (näit Horizon Europe jt).
Tähtsamad tulemused
2023. aastal: (1) viidi edukalt lõpule narkomeetri valideerimine vastavalt EMA ICH10 nõuetele koostöös Poola Kohtuekspertiisi Instituudiga. Korraldati Drug Hunter narkomeetri kasutamise ja hoolduse koolitused 30 politseinikule Tallinnas ja Tartus; (2) uuriti uute sünteetiliste narkootiliste ja psühhotroopsete ainete lisamist ekspertsüsteemi; (3) töötati välja portatiivse kapillaarelektroforeesi analüsaatori prototüüp. Uuriti erinevaid proovide sisestamise viise väljatöötatud prototüübiga toitainete analüüsiks mullas SmartAGRO projekti raames.
