Ülevaade
Uurimisrühma teadustöö on suunatud keskkonnasõbralikel anorgaanilistel materjalidel põhinevate ehitisintegreeritavate päikesepaneelide tehnoloogiate väljatöötamisele. Rühm omab maailmatasemel tehnoloogilist kompetentsi mitme-komponentsete pooljuhtmaterjalide sünteesi alal kui ka sulade soolade keskkonnas toimuvate protsesside keemia, mehhanismi ja kineetika valdkonnas. Samuti omatakse pikaajalist kogemust erinevate nano- ja mikroskaalas metall,- metalloksiid ja kalkogeniid õhukesekileliste pinnakatete valmistamisel füüsikaliste sadestustehnoloogiatega. Kõrgetasemeline kompetents on ka optoelektroonsete materjalide ja seadiste (päikesepatareid, laserid, valgusdioodid, sensorid jne.) fundamentaalsete füüsikaliste omaduste uurimise alal.
Tähtsamad tulemused
2023. aasta märkimisväärseim tulemus saavutati CZTS monoterakiht-päikesepatareide TA tegevustes. Kasutades kaheastmelist heterosiirde moodustamise protsessi, kontrollides Cd ja Cu segunemist CZTS/CdS siirdel, paranes seadme efektiivsus 12.06%-ni, mis on antud materjali puhul maailmarekord.Analüüsiti erinevate leelissoolade (LiI, NaI, KI, RbI ja CsI) mõju CZTS monoterapulbri ja päikesepatareide omadustele. Jätkusid kesteriitsete materjalide defektuuringud fotoluminestsents-spektroskoopia (PL) abil. Viidi läbi PL-uuring CZTSSe mikrokristallidele, milledel olid suured keelutsooni laiuse fluktuatsioonid temperatuurivahemikus 10–200 K. Esmakordselt võeti CZTS monoterakiht- päikesepatareide tööefektiivsuse analüüsiks kasutusele voolukao kõverad.Uuriti püriidi kristallide kasvukineetikat ning lisandite mõju kasvatamisel erinevates sulasoolades. Esmakordselt valmistati ja uuriti õhukesed kaitsvad komposiitkiled, mis sisaldasid horisontaalselt orienteeritud süsiniknanotorusid (SWCNTs) PHPS-polümeerist deriveeritud keraamilises SiOxNy-maatriksis.
